It’s been a crazy year so far, we are all adapting to the ‘new normal’ and attempting to move forward with our lives safely.
Here at The Retreat , Escape , Secret & Boutique lodges, we are continuously monitoring and adapting to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as it progresses, following the guidance issued by the government and health experts to assist in keeping everyone as safe as possible. We are continuously following and adapting to government guidelines and we will tailor our approach as and when necessary to minimize the risk of spread of Covid-19.
As a nation, now more than ever we realise the importance of vacation, having some ‘time out’ from our hectic lives. Traveling isn’t as simple now as it once was, with mandatory face masks, social distancing and quarantine when returning from overseas, more and more families are favouring stay-cations and enjoying what the UK has to offer.
Otterburn Boutique Lodges want to make sure you feel confident and excited about visiting us. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to stay safe during your stay. We have many new and continuously adapting procedures in place in order to exceed government guidelines.
- Our cleaning team has grown to ensure the turnaround time between guests remains the same even when carrying out a more intense clean.
- Each lodge will undergo a thorough deep clean using antibacterial products to exceed hygiene standards and keep our Lodges Covid secure.
- We are committed to social distancing and our lodges will remain in spacious positions to allow all guests to easily keep a 2 metre plus distance at all times.
- We have enforced a contactless check-in procedure – all guests will collect keys to their lodge using a key code box which will be explained in detail during booking.
Our lodges are equipped with hot tubs and outdoor barrel saunas, don’t be worried about making the most of them during your stay. According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the water when using hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection of hot tubs removes/inactivates the virus that causes COVID-19. As well as the upper temperature range that our saunas and hot tubs operate at is hot enough to kill viruses.
